The three of us from Canada and Sweden are very satisfied with this trip. We particularly enjoyed the excellent food and service. We appreciated the sense of being well looked after - all staff went out of their way to ensure safety and comfort - The boat is acceptably clean. If there is one thing to complain about, it would be the weak water flow in the showers. Not enough water to take a through rinse.

We also appreciated the explanations of what we saw on the way. And, of course, the leisurely speed of the boat - no rush, not too much noise. We also appreciate being able to do this during the Onam period, and the accommodating schedule of the tour operator.

Everything was fine- certainly as described. One key improvement would be better English for at least one crew member. Captain and cook were very willing, but not so able to understand questions. Also a small exhaust fan in the bathroom would help odour problems.

We have had the most wonderful time! We have greatly enjoyed being taught how to fish and have been taken to some excellent fishing spots and my boy friend was in his excitement! Jobby in particular helped us buy and assemble our fishing equipment and turned us unto productive fisher people. Thomas cooked us delicious food. We particularly loved his very Keralan meal of fish curry on a banana leaf – we have noted the ingredients and method so that we can make it at home.

Our captain has done a brilliant job taking us to a wonderful swimming spot. We have enjoyed everyone’s company very much. Their warmth and hospitality have been a high point of our stay in Kerala. My particular favourite thing was visiting a beautiful spot for sunset and getting off early in the morning taking in the mornings goings on as the mists rise off the back waters.

Staff - Excellent service. Great entertainers, very well informed and helpful. Cooking excellent. Food - Quality of food - cheap and poor in terms of ingredients. We expect good quality of food. Do not appreciate having to pay extra for things like coconuts except for the welcome drink. Must stress that the staff did excellent job with what they were allowed to cook. But, Rs 1000 a day in ingredients is not cool and reflects poorly on your company.

We enjoy very much our trip. The staff was friendly and attentive to our desires. Sajith took care very good of us. The food of Pradeep was excellent. Captain Siby was very skilful. The itinerary was very well selected. And we had an early wonder ful swimming in Kayamkulam. We can say that the cruise was the highlight of our Kerala journey.

Lovely boat, lovely crew, peaceful beautiful back waters. Lovely food but more than our dainty, girlish stomachs can handle. Very interesting stop-offs: the church and the market, the snake boat, the ashram- would like to have seen more. Overall, a very peaceful and relaxing trip- will definitely recommend to friends, family and collegues.

Firstly the food was FANTASTIC!! We are both 50 Kg heavier! The route was peaceful, we were pleased not to see many other houseboats. The ratio of cruising to stop offs was just right. Thank you, Philip for the tour of the Catholic Church, it was very interesting for us. The crew were great! And of course the boat was beautiful. Suggestions: A map of the route. A book on birds. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time! Biju, Sanjeev and Johnson were most cheerful and professional. The food was delicious and plentiful- no empty stomachs here. One of the fans in the bedroom makes noise but otherwise, we were quite comfortable. I wish that we could take Lovedale (name of the boat) back to United States- It is a beautiful, well kept boat. It was a very special treat to meet the family of Biju. The small canals and large were full of life and beauty and we should not ever forget Kerala. We look forward to recommending a houseboat trip to our close friends. We hope Kerala remaining as unspoiled and innocent as we remember. Many thanks to all.

It was a very lovely scenic trip! The cruise through the canal was lovely and exciting! Lots life and many many birds. Our crew was friendly, helpful and fun, and the food was delicious. Very peaceful, beautiful journey. At night the fan kept us cool. Loved it!

We have enjoyed our two days on the boat and found our trip both interesting and relaxing. The accommodation was very comfortable and atmosphere. However the bedrooms would benefit from better ventilation. The standard of cleanliness was excellent throughout. The food was excellent and served with charm. We enjoyed our visits to the small markets and our visit to Ayurvedic clinic was a special treat. We particularly enjoyed visiting the cook’s family home and meeting his family. The crew were gracious and efficient. All in all an extremely enjoyable two days of observing life in the backwaters.

Excellent relaxing two days. We enjoyed very much the different visits-eg. Churches, villages, beaches. Crew very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Thomas very good cook and very willing to adapt food to our taste. Very pleased we chose 2 nights as I would not be enough to see all and totally relax. Would recommend it to anyone to truly experience the local life on the backwaters. Only complaint-Bed very Hard. A new outlook on a different life.

The crew for the entire trip were very attentive and able to provide us with excellent service above our expectation. They asked our opinion on menu and programme and most part were able to fulfil our requests. We were able to experience some ideallyc scenery and wonderful Keralan food. It may have been even more enjoyable if some written information regarding the surroundings were provided in the boat, as the crew’s grasp of English was adequate, but not extensive. It was an extremely enjoyable and relaxing time.
